We have worked to create a pledging process that cultivates an environment that fosters a passion for service, development as leaders, and development of unbreakable friendships.

Under the guidance of the Pledgemaster, you and your pledge class will learn about what makes us who we are. The process of pledging is not an individual one, but rather an experience shared amongst every member of your pledge class.

New pledges and active members will all come together to share this journey to develop in SERVICE, LEADERSHIP, and FRIENDSHIP, and we hope the skills you learn will be valuable to you not only as an active member, but beyond your time here at UW. 


Below, you can find a rushee, pledge, and active member’s quarterly requirements summarized. There is also an FAQ section, as well as a sample schedule from the most recent rush cycle. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any unanswered questions!

Membership Requirements

Rush Requirements

  • Attend 1 info session

  • Attend 1 other rush event

  • Interview

Pledge Requirements

  • Attend all pledge classes (weekly for 5-7 weeks)

  • Attend all mandatory events

  • Attend a chapter meeting

  • 3 service hours

  • 1 fellowship event

  • 1 leadership event

Active Requirements

  • Attend weekly chapter meetings

  • Attend 8 committee meetings

  • Attend all mandatory events

  • 12 service hours

  • 3 fellowship events

  • 3 leadership events

  • APO welcomes students in any and all majors!

Can I participate as a student of UW-Tacoma or UW-Bothell?

  • Yes! Any UW student can join our chapter.
